My name is Melanys, I'm an environmental engineer; I used to work on a flower farm in the environmental area, and I fell in love with flower art. I decided to take courses and workshops on this amazing world of flowers and here I am! I really love working in this field, I put all my effort into any arrangement and the best part is the final result and the smiles on the people's faces.
I grew up in Columbia, and am so happy my family is integrated with the business. My sister, mother and cousin are florist's assistant while my husband and father are our delivery team! Involving family in my passion is such a blessing.
I'm so proud that my flower shop is sustainable and I try my best to work with eco-friendly or nonimpact products. We also do waste segregation to improve the level of resources utilization and to reduce the amount of garbage!
Veranera is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees, with a colorful, bright, beautiful and small flower. The colors associated with the plant are pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white and yellow!
Its scientific name is Bougainvillea. The inflorescence consists of large colourful sepal like bracts which surround three simple waxy flowers, gaining popularity for the plant as an ornamental.
Veranera is native to South America, including countries like Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. It grows in warm climates. Bougainvillea carry several names in the different regions where they are present: In Argentina, it's called Santa Rita, in Peru papelillo, in Venezuela Trinitaria, in Brazil primavera or sempre lustrosa, and in Colombia it's named veranera.
I grew up seeing these incredible plants and their flowers in my city Cartagena, Colombia, they are really gorgeous and of course, they are my favorite flowers.
